Marc Kinney

Practice Manager

Marc Kinney was raised on a lake in Minnesota and always had a reverence for animals, even if he didn’t know his future would include a career in the veterinary industry. He grew up enjoying snow and water sports, bicycling, and rodeo. He also served in the United States Marines, and during that time, met his future wife, Dr. Kinney, who was actually still in high school! After the military he studied business at Washington State University before moving to Sedona.

After 18 years of marriage, and within days of discovering they would have a second child, Dr. Kinney learned that in short-order she would have the opportunity to purchase Oak Creek Small Animal Clinic. Knowing she would need someone dependable, trustworthy, smart, kind, hard-working, high-energy, and honest to help her run the practice and guide its growth and organization, she turned to her husband, Marc, who embodies all of these amazing qualities and more. They decided that the only way to make it work for their family was to embrace it as a family business, and Marc relinquished his own business as an electrician to make the jump.

Marc’s more than full-time job description includes human resources, payroll, budgeting and bookkeeping duties, marketing, client relations, helping out at the front desk, problem solving, building repairs– you name it! He is a master at mitigating the cost of doing business. He will go the extra mile to help a special client with transportation or food delivery, and is a super Dad, usually toting baby Mason around while he’s working. All so Dr. Kinney can focus on patients, current medicine, and her education.
Marc adores his yellow Labrador, Diego, and has a passion for mountain biking and adventure. We couldn’t operate without Marc!
